About After School Care:
The educators at After School Care are committed to providing stimulating and nurturing environments that provide opportunities for positive relationships to be developed and experiences that foster all areas of children's development.
We offer a fun and enjoyable program for children in a well-supervised, friendly environment. The program is based on each child’s interests and needs and includes a variety of fun, interesting and challenging activities for children to participate in. These include:
• Cooking
• Art and Craft
• Various Sports
• Inside and Outside Group Games
• Indoor and Outdoor Experiences
We kick off each afternoon with afternoon tea, prepared by the staff. First rounds is an assortment of fruit, and second rounds is anything from sandwiches, pikelets, spaghetti, tacos, yoghurt, fish fingers, etc. After we eat, we play for a bit outside, and then head upstairs for quiet reading or homework time.

At about 4:00pm, we have group time and decide on our activities for the day, both inside and outside. We believe that physical activity is very important so the children spend a good amount of time participating in fun and challenging outside group games. Please ensure you pack your child a suitable sun hat for outside play!

The P&C Association incorporates quality and accredited child care services for children and families within the South Townsville Municipality and surrounding areas. We are licensed and accredited for 30 students from Prep to Year 7 and operate in accordance with the Education and Care Services National Law and Regulations. Educators are employed by the school P&C Association and have relevant qualifications.

Enrolment
When enrolling your child, a choice of a permanent or a casual booking will be available.
If you choose to book your child in as a permanent booking this means that your child will attend After School Care on set days each week or fortnight. Every time your child does not attend on a scheduled booked day it is very important that you contact the Coordinator before 2:30pm of that day to inform them that your child will be absent that day, otherwise a fee will be charged.

If you choose to book your child in as a casual booking this means that your child is enrolled to attend After School Care but has no set days for attendance. Every time your child attends After School Care you must contact the Coordinator before 2:30 of that day in order to book your child in for the day. Please ensure that telling the school your child is attending After School Care doesn’t mean that ASC will be notified.

The After School Care enrolment form must be fully completed and handed into After School Care before your child can commence care! Bookings and cancellations must be made through After School Care only. Completion of an enrolment form indicates your agreement to the fees, policies and conditions of Townsville South After School Care. As a licensing requirement enrolment forms must be completed yearly.
